Subaru BRZ: the last 30 units go on sale in Spain

Although production of the Subaru BRZ ceased a few weeks ago, several units are still arriving in our country, giving buyers the chance to get hold of one.

Quite a few models have gone down in automotive history. Some remain on sale for a long time yet, but others end their production run and become one of those great classics and cult favourites that can no longer be seen in dealerships. Subaru has brought production of the BRZ to an end, although there is still a chance to get hold of one of this Japanese sports car.

The Subaru BRZ is no longer being built, but a few units remain for anyone wanting to buy one. In total, 30 units will arrive in our country so that the last buyers can purchase one of these cars. These join the 355 units already sold in Spain, which are already being enjoyed by just as many drivers.

The latest incarnation of the Subaru BRZ, discontinued only a month ago, offers several new features compared with earlier versions. Lateral body rigidity has been increased by 60% and torsional rigidity by 50%. This makes it easier to handle difficult roads and allows it to take corners more efficiently.

The roof uses aluminium as its main material, as do the bonnet and front wing, so the vehicle’s weight is kept fairly low, at 1,289 kg in the manual gearbox version. As for the engine, it uses a 2.4-litre Boxer engine producing 234 CV. It has been placed very low to deliver as much efficiency as possible, with a low centre of gravity.

The Subaru BRZ has been regarded as a well-balanced sports car, with attractive power and very intuitive, efficient handling. This is the end of the model, but it remains available for a limited time. The challenge now is finding owners for these last 30 units available in Spain.
