Pebble Beach 2011: Ferrari F50 GT vs Ferrari F50

If something is as hard to happen as two one-of-a-kind Ferraris meeting face to face, it means there is still a slim chance it could happen, and perhaps Pebble Beach has become the kind of event where anything is possible, even an encounter like this one.

Specifically, we are talking about the reunion of two siblings such as the Ferrari F50, a car of which only 349 units were built, most of them locked away to be preserved “supposedly” in perfect condition, and the Ferrari F50 GT, a race car designed on the basis of the F50 and created exclusively to compete in the FIA’s GT1 category.

We are looking at one of the rarest vehicles ever made by Ferrari, a car built for racing of which the Italian marque produced just three units before abandoning this type of competition to focus body and soul on the Formula 1 World Championship.

If the Ferrari F50 GT stands out for anything, it is for mounting a V12 capable of producing a staggering 750 horsepower at 10,500 rpm, a unique vehicle that I want to show you today alongside the model Ferrari homologated for public roads, in a gallery of images you should not miss.
