Peugeot e-2008: we already know when it will be presented and what to expect from the electric SUV

Soon we will get to know the revamped electric SUV, which receives a mid-cycle update with plenty of styling and equipment improvements

Peugeot e-2008 2020

The Peugeot e-2008 is currently the third best-selling electric SUV in Spain, behind the Tesla Model Y and the Citroën ë-C4. The version sold in our country today comes in four trim levels, with a starting price of 37,820 euros, before applying any government aid or discount. But the model’s refresh is already scheduled, so we will soon have the chance to see what the Stellantis brand has in store for this model update.

This is not a new generation; rather, it is a mid-cycle update to change some design details and prepare new electric motors and batteries to improve performance. The car has been in preparation for a few months, but we already know some interesting details about the update, including the date on which it will be officially unveiled.

Peugeot 2008 2020 Interior

On May 4 the new look of the Peugeot e-2008 will be presented. What we know about this update is that it will bring the car closer to the brand’s most recent models, such as the Peugeot 408. The headlights are going to change and become more attractive, modern and even more aggressive. At the rear, the light clusters have been modified and will present a different image from the current one.

The central grille will also get a redesign that will help change the overall look of the electric SUV. Inside, it will get some changes that allow for higher-quality materials. The multimedia and instrument screens and the driver-assistance systems will also be improved. The chassis and driving modes have been adjusted, so it will be more comfortable to drive and offer greater comfort at the wheel.

Engine and new batteries

The motor will offer more power, as it will now reach an output of 115 kW, equivalent to 156 CV. As for the battery, its capacity is also expected to improve. It currently has a capacity of 50 kWh, but with the update it will rise to 54 kWh. It is a small increase, but it will allow the range to reach 400 kilometers.

The update to the Peugeot e-2008 will arrive at the end of 2023, although we will know everything about the update within a couple of weeks.
