Piaggio MP3 LT can be driven with a car licence

Piaggio has prepared a new version of its well-known three-wheeled scooter so that it can be driven both by those holding a B licence and by those with the specific motorcycle licence, category A. This model, known as Piaggio MP3 LT, is already on sale in other countries such as France.
To obtain the tricycle homologation, three main modifications had to be made: the braking system can be activated with a pedal as well as with the left lever, the indicators have been enlarged so that they protrude beyond the bodywork, and finally the track width has increased to 46.5 cm.
There are two different versions of this model to choose from according to engine capacity: 250 cc with 22.5 CV of power or 400 cc with 34 CV. One of its most important features is the locking of the front suspension, which makes it possible to keep the scooter upright without deploying the stand. However, one of the major drawbacks is that, since it has been homologated as a tricycle, current regulations only allow it to reach 70 km/h when it is driven on motorways.
As for prices, the Piaggio MP3 LT is priced at 6,349 euros in its 250 cc version, while the 400 cc version costs 7,713 euros.
