Pininfarina shows sketches of its tribute concept to Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo is celebrating its centenary in grand style, and this year the Geneva Motor Show will be the perfect stage for the Italian brand to mark its birthday. And what better way than with three of the most famous coachbuilders, who have worked very closely with the brand throughout its history, gifting it three different concepts, enough to make our mouths water should any of them ever reach production.

The first of them, the Bertone concept, , we have already seen, and it is simply spectacular. Now it is the turn of Pininfarina, which has chosen to draw inspiration from the two-seater and convertible models that Alfa Romeo offered for years and which gave the brand part of the prominence it enjoys today.

According to the description of the sketch, the two-seater will be an innovative, modern reinterpretation of the classic Alfas and the historic Spider. And looking at the sketch, there is no doubt that the Spider is set for a new lease of life, although a slightly sharper and more aerodynamic nose would have been welcome, even though the idea of the Spider is that it is not a supercar, but a leisurely roadster with the occasional moment of spirited driving. Of course, it is only a concept, created for Alfa’s 100th anniversary. What more could we ask for!
