Porsche launches a range of options for its models

The possibility of making our Porsche more exclusive increases thanks to new colours across the whole range, as well as greater power and technology.

When we are faced with a premium vehicle or a sports car, where every minor detail is treated as an extra, having a wide selection of options is essential for those who want a car that stands out from the rest. That is why Porsche has decided to expand these options across its entire range of vehicles, covering everything from the mechanics to the gadgets.

For example, in the mechanical area, everyone who opts for the new Porsche 911 in its Carrera S, Carrera 4S and Targa 4S variants will be able to fit a power kit that increases it by 30 CV, bringing it to 450 CV, the same as the new Carrera GTS. The kit includes larger turbochargers, the SportChrono package with dynamic engine mounts, a new brake cooling system and a new exhaust system with two centre pipes of unique design. This kit will be available from 11,610 Euros, depending on the vehicle, and from June it will be available for those models that already have the SportChrono package fitted.

The range of colours , both interior and exterior, is also expanded. The Porsche 911 will get a new 4-coat paint called Saffron Yellow Metallic, which creates a sense of depth, while the new optional exhaust system can have tailpipes in gloss black; its interior with the Sport-Tex equipment adds the colour Black or Graphite Blue-Chalk. For the 911 Targa 4S Exclusive Design Edition, Etna Blue will be available for the exterior and Graphite Blue for the interior, while for the 911 Turbo S Exclusive the interior can be chosen in Saffron Yellow Metallic or Black-Saffron Yellow.

In the SUV and Panamera segments there are also new colours. Starting with the current Cayenne, Purpurite Metallic and Palladium Grey Metallic are added as special colours, while the interior of the Macan is now also available in Black-Luxor Beige. As for the Panamera, there will be two new exterior colours called Burgundy Red Metallic and Ristretto Brown Metallic, while for the leather interior the new Black-Luxor Beige will be available, and Cohiba Brown and Truffle Brown for the leather upholstery of the cabin.

Now we move on to the technology section, which, truth be told, is very interesting as you will see. For 14 countries, the Connect Plus option for the Porsche Connect now includes an integrated SIM card with LTE support. But for China and Japan, Connect Plus will be available with an option called Concierge Service, which allows booking flights, hotels, restaurants or car rental. In addition, at the end of the year, the Porsche Connect will have two optional data packages (one of 7 GB and another of 1 GB) allowing music streaming or use of the built-in WiFi hotspot.

Finally, and also related to the Porsche Connect, all of its services can now be fitted to vehicles for the new model year or earlier ones, so they can be obtained through Connect Plus via a migration process. This affects models produced since September 2015, and only those that left the factory before June 2016 will need a software update; later models are already prepared. In any case, Porsche will contact the respective owners, and within an hour and a half at most they will carry out the update free of charge.
