Production of the new Nissan Micra starts in Europe
Production of the new Nissan Micra has kicked off. It will go on sale at Nissan dealerships in mid-February in the main European markets and, from March onwards, in the rest of the continents.

The new Nissan Micra is a revolution. It represents a radical change compared with the model it replaces. It is longer, wider and lower than ever. It has been conceived, planned and designed with particular attention to the tastes and requirements of European customers.
The exterior design of the Micra, athletic and expressive, is the key to its appeal. The interior of the car features a high-quality cabin, boasting two-tone materials that are soft to the touch, fitted as standard across the entire range.

The new Micra will be the first Nissan car built at a Renault factory. The new Micra is also a pioneer in technology, as it includes several features that are not only a first for this model but for the segment as a whole. Among these functions, the unintentional lane departure warning stands out, which, if necessary, gradually steers the vehicle back into its lane. The new Micra offers multiple interior and exterior personalisation options, among which a wide range of contemporary colours stands out.
This process marks the beginning of a new chapter in a success story that goes back more than thirty years. The Micra was first launched in Europe in 1983 and is one of the best-selling models, reaching more than seven million units worldwide.

The new Micra will be manufactured in Flins, a plant located west of Paris, run by Nissan’s strategic partner: Renault. Its production will be carried out on a modified version of the Nissan V platform. The new Micra will be the first Nissan car produced at a Renault factory in Europe, and marks the return of this bestseller to the old continent after a seven-year break.
