Record deliveries of Polestar in the first quarter of 2026
Despite a complex geopolitical environment and more difficult market conditions, Polestar has shown resilience and maintains a positive growth trajectory.
Polestar has achieved its best first quarter to date after delivering a total of 13,126 electric vehicles to its customers during the first three months of 2026. A truly positive result for the Swedish brand, which is under the control of Chinese giant Geely, representing a 7 percent increase over the same period last year and consolidating a solid start to the year.
Although this is the strongest first quarter in its history, it should be made clear that it does not, however, surpass the overall sales record, which still belongs to the fourth quarter of 2022, when 20,243 units were delivered. The first quarter has traditionally been the weakest for Polestar, so these results have generated considerable optimism within the company.

“Following a record 2025, we have achieved our highest retail sales figure for a first quarter, with 13,126 cars.”
In presenting these results, Michael Lohscheller, the current Chief Executive Officer of Polestar, highlighted the good performance of the company he leads in key markets such as Australia, Germany, Sweden, South Korea and the United Kingdom, and also thanked the company’s teams for their efforts and the brand’s solid position.
The Polestar electric vehicle range continues to grow
Currently, Polestar offers in its range the Polestar 2 saloon, the Polestar 3 SUV and the Polestar 4 crossover. The Swedish manufacturer is currently in the midst of a commercial offensive, which over the next three years will lead to the launch of a new generation of the Polestar 2, the highly anticipated Polestar 5 Gran Turismo, an additional variant of the Polestar 4 and the Polestar 7, a more compact electric SUV.

At the same time, the brand continues to expand its global presence. Its retail network has grown by 50 percent in one year and now reaches around 230 locations. In Germany, where growth has been particularly strong, with more than 50 percent in both 2025 and this first quarter, the Swedish manufacturer will double the number of Polestar Spaces over the course of 2026, with the aim of having a total of 30 such facilities in 2027.
