Recreation of the new compact from Opel

Last month General Motors reported that the company’s new compact from the German brand will be built at the Eisenach plant. However, the details it gave about the new city car still did not allow us to form a clear picture of it.

And although most media believe the Opel Trixx, a concept shown in 2004, could serve as the basis for its development, it is unlikely the manufacturer intends that.

Recent statements by Opel’s sales and marketing director, Alain Visser, offer a different perspective.

The executive mentions that the compact is known within the company as “Junior“, because the market it is aimed at includes young consumers, who want to enjoy the technology of the moment, as well as a car that covers all their transport needs, in terms of economy and performance.

As you can imagine, there is still no clear idea of the car, but it is assumed that it will be a luxury model, ready to compete with all the elegant compacts on the market.
