Renault is satisfied with 2024 and is preparing for the challenges that 2025 brings

Despite the general results in the automotive industry, the Renault Group has managed to record fairly positive figures worldwide.

2024 ended bringing rather unpositive numbers for most brands. However, there are others that feel quite satisfied with the results obtained during the year. The Renault brand has been one of them, as sales have responded. It should also not be forgotten that the best-selling model on the European market has been the Dacia Sandero, from the Renault Group.

Sales of the Renault Group worldwide have totalled 2,264,815 vehicles, representing an increase of 1.3% compared with 2023 sales. Not a very high growth, but one that breaks the downward sales trend experienced by other brands. In the European market alone, 1,599,051 vehicles have been sold, marking a sales increase of 3.5% compared with 2023.

Globally, the second-largest increase occurred in Brazil, thanks to the Renault Kardian. In this market, the increase was 10.3%. In South Korea, the increase was much greater, at 80.6%, thanks to the launch of the Renault Grand Koleos. This is the first model launched by the new Renault Korea company.

In Europe, the Renault Group has ensured that 63% of sales were made through the private customer channel, with four models in the top 10 of their category. The C segment is one of those that has achieved the greatest sales success, with the launch of the electric Scenic E-Tech, the Symbioz and the Rafale. Dacia, for its part, has unveiled the Bigster, which will soon arrive on the market.

Electrified vehicles account for 34.7% of those sold in Europe. Hybrid sales have increased by 45% compared with 2023, reaching 25.5% of the group’s sales. Battery electric vehicles account for 9% of Renault sales, with a more notable increase during the fourth quarter. Part of these results is due to the arrival of the electric Renault 5 E-Tech in October.

The five main markets for Renault have been France, Italy, Turkey, Spain and Germany. In our country, 149,697 units were sold.

To continue these good results and achieve remarkable sales in 2025, the Renault Group will launch seven new models over the course of this year. Among them, the electric Renault 4 E-Tech, the Dacia Bigster and the Alpine A39 stand out. 2025 is full of challenges for brands, and Renault wants to repeat positive figures at the end of the year.
