Renault Kangoo Combi, the perfect solution for work and family

Within the Renault light commercial vehicle family we find the Kangoo, a commercial vehicle whose Combi version accounts for much of the model’s sales. This variant, which is used to transport people, has been adapted for modern times and improves on all its features. A vehicle that is ideal for work but also for getting around with the family. Updated design, more equipment and several engine options so it can fulfil its role perfectly.

Exterior design

The exterior design of the Renault Kangoo follows the styling language currently used on the new models. At the front we find the new grille and headlights with LED technology. The shape of the headlights features a C-shaped light signature. The front bumper has also been redesigned, looking more modern and dynamic.

All versions of the Kangoo are characterised by very pronounced shoulders, which give the model a distinctive look that sets it apart from the rest of its range. On the Kangoo Combi in particular, this look is completed with black and chrome decorative elements. In addition, the 17-inch Vereste diamond-design aluminium alloy wheels add a more elegant touch.

The rear also features new elements, with an LED rear light cluster. As for personalisation, there are nine body colours available, so each customer can have their Kangoo Combi in the colour they choose.

Interior equipment

If the exterior is new and attractive, the interior brings novelties too. The design is more practical than in previous variants and the quality of the materials is higher. The steering wheel is adjustable for height and reach, and the seats feature lumbar adjustment to improve comfort.

The instrument cluster is housed in a 4.2-inch screen, although a 7-inch display, more attractive and visual, is also available. The central screen is 8 inches and manages the Easy Lynk system, which allows connection to the phone with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other equipment found in the Kangoo Combi’s cabin includes automatic climate control with two-zone regulation, heated front seats, a keyless entry and start system, electric parking brake with Auto-Hold function and, to improve connectivity with mobile devices, five USB ports and Bluetooth.

The driver assistance systems include features such as safe distance alert, speed limiter and hill start assist, parking assistance and other elements that help the driver increase safety while driving.

An important figure is the boot capacity, rated at 775 litres, although with the rear bench folded down the capacity rises to 3,500 litres. Something important for a vehicle of this type.

Engines

As for engines, the new Renault Kangoo Combi is offered with several petrol and diesel options. In the first case we find a 1.3 TCe 100 unit, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the 1.3 TCe 130 engine, which, in addition to the six-speed manual transmission, can be equipped with a 7-speed EDC automatic gearbox.

The diesel range consists of two variants of the 1.5 Blue dCi engine, with 115 CV and 95 CV, with either a 7-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox. The other engine is a 1.5 Blue dCi unit producing 95 CV, which comes only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
