Rhino XT, a transformation of the Jeep Wrangler that surprises

Few people doubt that the Jeep Wrangler is one of the most powerful and versatile off-roaders on the market, capable of tackling the most complicated terrain like no other. But not content with this, the professionals at US Specialty Vehicles decided to work on it and prepare a spectacular and highly visual change that is sure to surprise many people.

The Rhino XT, which is the name given to this transformed model, hides the original body of the Wrangler within its angular and very aggressive bodywork, although it is difficult to find any trace of the vehicle in its new form. This version is based on the Wrangler Unlimited, a military version of the off-roader, and not only the exterior has been changed but also the entire interior, making it more comfortable than we could have imagined.

The set has been reworked with more prominent wings, resistant bumpers, reinforced side panels, and many elements of its overall design have been redesigned to give it the look you can see in the image gallery. The imposing tyres give an idea of how easily it can climb the steepest slopes and move across the terrain.

Although the exterior is rugged and aggressive, the interior seeks comfort and ease

Inside, by contrast, comfort and ease have been sought that, in principle, do not seem to match the vehicle’s appearance. The seats are upholstered in high-quality leather, something typical of the transformations carried out by USS Vehicles, a material that is also found on the door panels and the steering wheel.

The instrument panel is digital, with a 3D view, and includes an Alpine navigation system. A rear camera allows you to see what is happening behind the vehicle, and the look is completed with chrome trim. As for the engine, the same 3.6-litre V6 is kept, with a five-speed automatic gearbox and all the features of the model it is based on. It is already powerful enough for what this model aims to achieve.

The Rhino XT was shown at SEMA, where reservations began to be taken, but there is another opportunity to see it up close at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2015. The price of this transformed vehicle starts at 75,445 dollars.

Realmente espectacular. Una preparación que sólo los americanos saben hacer en este tipo de vehículos.
