Fiat Tipo Sedans Range / versions
The Fiat Tipo, the saloon coming from Turkey
The new Fiat Tipo already shows us its different trim levels and the equipment each of the three versions arriving throughout 2016 will carry, while we wait for them to announce the models that will arrive later and complete the range

A few months ago we were talking about the new Fiat saloon that would bring back to Europe and other markets the iconic name Tipo, a three- and five-door compact that the Italian brand sold under that name. Finally, we have learned that the Fiat Tipo will actually be the model we knew as Fiat Egea, produced in Turkey and keeping that name only in its country of origin.
The Fiat Tipo will arrive in three trim levels, which as standard will feature 15-inch alloy wheels, a UConnect radio with MP3 player and USB and AUX ports, controlled by a 3.5-inch LCD screen, air conditioning, electronically assisted steering, central locking, automatic boot opening, electric heated mirrors, ABS with EBD and tyre pressure monitoring.
The next level up adds 16-inch wheels, a 5-inch touchscreen, while the instrument cluster is another 3.5-inch TFT screen, multifunction steering wheel, Bluetooth, an electrochromic interior mirror, electric rear windows and rain-sensing wipers. The top of the range adds 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, cruise control, automatic climate control, chrome trim and a front armrest.

The introduction of an independent front McPherson suspension has also been announced. As for engines, there will be two petrol options, a 1.4-litre 95 CV unit and a 1.6-litre 110 CV unit, and two diesel options, a 1.3-litre 95 CV and a 1.6-litre 120 CV. These engines will be paired with five-speed manual gearboxes, six-speed manual gearboxes and a six-speed automatic.
Prices are not yet known, although they are expected to start from 12,000 euros for the entry-level version. After the saloon version, a hatchback and an estate will arrive within a few months to complete the range.
