Rolls-Royce Phantom Oribe, a very special one-off created together with the French house Hermès
Rolls-Royce has teamed up on this occasion with the French fashion house Hermès to create an exclusive one-off destined for a Japanese businessman

It is common for the worlds of fashion and vehicle design to join hands in creations that blend the design of both worlds, something that has happened with other brands, and Rolls-Royce could not let it pass either. They have teamed up with the French fashion house Hermès to create a one-off that is headed for the garage of a fortunate Japanese businessman.
For this new exclusive creation, Rolls-Royce has used one of its favourite models for such purposes, the Phantom, resulting in a one-off that they have named Phantom Oribe and that incorporates many of its owner’s wishes. To begin with, its bodywork has been painted in two colours, the predominant one being Oribe Green, a colour born exclusively for this model from the characteristic green and cream colours of Oribe items, of which the owner of this Phantom is an enthusiastic collector.

This very distinctive colour has been developed over several months by the specialists of the manufacturer in Goodwood, and it is combined with a lower section in a cream white colour that runs along all four sides of the Phantom Oribe. This colour combination, as expected, carries over into an interior in which the craftsmen of Rolls-Royce and Hermès have worked shoulder to shoulder, bringing together the experience and craftsmanship of both houses.
The interior of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Oribe features an upholstery in which Hermès Enea Green leather predominates, applied to elements such as the steering wheel, the gear lever, the climate control switches, the door handles, the instrument panel and the various pillars, although it can also be found on less noticeable elements such as the glovebox, the centre console or the champagne cooler. Hermès is famous for including straps and piping in its designs, and this vehicle also features them on the headrests and on the side restraints of the rear seats, combined with white details as contrast, as well as walnut wood inserts carefully applied to the door panels, the dashboard and the rear central section.

Mechanically there are no surprises in this Rolls-Royce Phantom Oribe, so under its bonnet we continue to find the V12 engine of 6.75 litres capable of developing 571 CV together with a torque of 900 Nm, working with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The price of this one-off has not been revealed, but as you can imagine it is only within reach of a very few.
