Suzuki Misano EV, a concept that combines cars and motorcycles in a single vehicle
A group of students from the Italian IED has created this electric prototype, which aims to offer an image somewhere between the worlds of cars and motorcycles.
Car manufacturers have accustomed us to presenting concept cars that aim to showcase all the technological innovations they are preparing for future models. Suzuki has just unveiled one of these models, which is notable for having been designed by a group of 24 students from the European Institute of Design (IED) in Turin. An electric car that seeks to pay tribute to the spirit of the cars and motorcycles built by the brand.
It is a two-seater that has been named Suzuki Misano Concept, in reference to the Italian circuit Misano World Circuit. Its design is clearly futuristic, both outside and inside, and it has a very attractive look. The placement of the passenger seat is surprising: it is not beside the driver, as is usually the case, but placed behind the driver, as on a motorcycle.

But this is not just a design whim; it serves a practical function. In this way the weight of the batteries, which are located on the right-hand side of the car, is offset. This configuration balances the weight distribution and also allows a luggage compartment to be placed in that space on the right side of the vehicle.
One thing worth noting at the front of the car is that the LED headlights are combined with the air intakes and create an original look. The bonnet sits very low, which makes the wheel arches at the front stand out. At the rear, LED technology is also an important part of the design, and it features slim, very visible light clusters.
The rear diffuser provides the sporty touch, so we can be sure this is not a car designed for the road, but for enjoying a circuit to the full. Looking at the wheels, they also fit a spectacular, sporty design. Overall, it is a very interesting car that stems from the idea of a group of young students who see a fully electric future.
