Rolls-Royce takes one more step towards luxury with the creation of the Privacy Suite, giving its users greater privacy
At the Chengdu Motor Show, an interesting novelty was presented for the Rolls-Royce Extended Wheelbase Phantom, in the form of a soundproof cabin

Rolls-Royce is a brand that has always wanted to focus on luxury, and this entails a certain degree of privacy for its occupants. So it has decided to take one step further in this direction and has prepared a luxurious interior with a high level of privacy. So much so that it allows the occupants of the rear of the car to isolate themselves completely from the outside, even cutting off all contact with the driver.
The Privacy Suite was presented at the Chengdu Motor Show, in China, where owners of a Rolls-Royce want to be at ease and not be disturbed by anyone. Although it is something that many Rolls-Royce owners will be looking for, for the time being the Privacy Suite will only be available on the Rolls-Royce Extended Wheelbase Phantom.

When the occupants of the rear of the car want privacy, they simply press a button and a screen separates the two spaces. But there is more, and if greater privacy is preferred, the technology acts and the glass becomes completely opaque, thanks to Electrochromatic Glass technology. Thus, the isolation is total and they can relax completely and enjoy their privacy.

Going a step further, the model also features a Rear Privacy Glass, which also becomes opaque, and privacy blinds that ensure no one outside the rear of the car can see what is going on inside. Privacy is not only visual, since the car has been engineered to feature the quietest cabin in the world, absorbing outside noise and increasing the comfort of its occupants.
Obviously, a intercom system with the driver has been included, through which instructions can be given. However, the driver must call the passengers, and it is the passengers who decide whether to answer or not. A small opening allows documents or anything else to be passed from the front to the rear, and this is also controlled from the rear compartment. And to fully enjoy that privacy, the Privacy Suite features a Bespoke Rear Theatre Entertainment multimedia system.
This consists of two 12-inch screens and an HDMI connector, all controlled from the central console. A true luxury suite for travelling the way a Rolls-Royce is meant to be travelled, enjoying those things that can only be enjoyed in a Rolls-Royce. Surprising, isn’t it?
