Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD ECO

Saab is launching the ECO version of its 9-3 1.9 TiD model in Spain with the aim of increasing performance while also reducing consumption and CO2 emissions. This ECO range can be compared to the Bluemotion from Volkswagen or the Ecomotive from Seat.
The Saab 9-3 ECO is equipped with a 1.9 TiD turbodiesel engine producing 150 CV of power, with a maximum torque of 320 Nm developed between 2,000 and 2,750 rpm. Generally its consumption would be around 5.8 l/100 km; however, thanks to the improvements in its ECO version, it drops to 5.2 l/100 km.
As a result, CO2 emissions are also reduced, standing at 144 g/km of CO2 for the Sport Hatch. Furthermore, both this model and the Sport Sedan can be combined with the Linear Sport or Vector trims. The first of these comes as standard with stability and traction control, electric mirrors, active headrests, eight airbags, dual-zone climate control, Saab Premium CD/MP3 sound system with auxiliary input, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever knob, and 16″ alloy wheels.

Meanwhile, the Vector trim adds bi-xenon headlights, a leather and fabric upholstery mix, a Bose Surround sound system with a 6-CD changer, and 17″ alloy wheels. As for price, it varies depending on the model and the chosen trim, ranging from the most basic, the Sport Sedan 1.9 TiD 150 CV ECO Linear Sport, which would cost around 27,180 euros, up to the 9-3 Sport Hatch 1.9 TiD 150 CV ECO Vector, priced at 31,410 euros.
