Seat e-Mii: the best-kept secret of Seat

Seat has almost by accident revealed an ace it has up its sleeve and could play if conditions are right. We are referring to the Seat e-Mii, which has come to light through TV3, the Catalan television channel, in an unconventional way, as you will see.
Until now, the most eco-friendly version of the Mii we had seen was the ECOfuel version presented in Geneva. But this is the first time we have seen the e-Mii as an electric version. According to what has emerged on TV, mechanically the e-Mii uses the same electric drivetrain as the e-Up!, with an 82-horsepower motor, capable of reaching a top speed of 130 km/h and a range of 150 kilometres.

However, the Seat e-Mii has remained secret until now and was not presented at the Barcelona Motor Show, as would have been the “politically correct” thing to do. The reason for this decision is that Seat did not want to create false expectations by showing it at a show when it does not even know when the right conditions will exist to put it on sale.
And indeed, almost none of those conditions have been met at present. More electric models, more demand, more charging points and a greater commitment to their development are needed. Until these conditions are met, investing in a new model such as the e-Mii would be very risky for now, but let’s hope that over the coming months we will get some defining news.
