Seat Tarraco FR PHEV: the large SUV from Seat, also a plug-in hybrid
The Seat Tarraco receives a plug-in hybrid PHEV propulsion system, which is combined with the sportier FR trim to configure a seven-seat SUV that is very interesting.
With the Seat Tarraco FR PHEV, presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Seat enters squarely into a category in which, until now, you had to look at high-end models from premium brands.

This means there will be more options for accessing a large plug-in hybrid SUV without having to make a high outlay, although the price is not yet known. The Tarraco FR PHEV will reach the market in 2020. It will join the Seat Tarraco range, which is already on sale with prices from 32,650 euros.
245 CV power, electric range of 50 km
The Tarraco’s propulsion system uses the 1.4 TSI 150 CV petrol engine, combined with a powerful electric motor of 110 kW (150 CV). The combined power of the system is 245 CV, with a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 13 kWh.

As with any plug-in hybrid, the Tarraco hybrid can recharge its battery from a domestic plug or a charging point, in addition to taking advantage of energy regeneration while driving. The electric-mode range with the battery fully charged is more than 50 km according to provisional data pending homologation. This allows the Seat Tarraco PHEV to carry the DGT CERO environmental label.

With this power and torque, the Seat Tarraco offers very sporty performance: 217 km/h top speed, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.4 seconds. CO2 emission figures on the combined cycle under WLTP will be below 50 g/km.
A hybrid Tarraco with the sportiness of Seat’s FR models
In keeping with the performance and sporty character that Seat wants to give the plug-in hybrid Tarraco, the trim associated with this version is the FR.

It includes exterior details such as widened wheel arches, 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch wheels can be chosen as an option), a rear spoiler and a new “Fura Grey” body colour. A useful functional feature is the towing assistance system, which makes hitching and manoeuvring easier.

Inside, the Tarraco PHEV includes the top-of-the-range Seat multimedia system, with a new navigation system and a screen that goes up to 9.2 inches. The electric sports front seats are bucket-type, and neoprene is used in their upholstery. The aluminium pedals and the sports steering wheel with the FR logo are also present.
