SEMA Show 2011: Ford gets ready with a surprise and plenty of Focus

At the SEMA Show, Ford will unveil new customised variants of the Focus and a surprise that will come from the Ford Mustang side.

From 1 to 4 November, the SEMA Show will take place in Las Vegas, USA, and over the years it has become the most important tuning show in the US. Not only are crazy projects by tuners and private individuals on display, but manufacturers have also taken this much more seriously over time.

Ford, GM and Chrysler are each going to present their tuning projects at SEMA, although don’t expect anything concrete to come out of it in the form of a production model, because it probably won’t. But let’s start by looking at what Ford has in store for us.

The Ford Focus will be one of Ford’s candidates with the most customisations or performance upgrades for SEMA. If last year the Fiesta took over all of Ford’s stands, this year it is the Focus that is set to break the mould with roughly 15 variants.

But besides the Focus, Ford seems to have “a surprise” in reserve that has to do with the Mustang. For now, there is only a teaser video showing what appears to be a classic Ford Mustang, perhaps being prepared with modern components? Ford has opened a Facebook page so we can discuss what it is all about.

  1. HB says:
