Short on space in your Porsche?

Porsche Design has developed two roof boxes to improve practicality and increase luggage capacity without losing the elegance of a sports car.

Porsche is the car manufacturer that best combines performance with functionality. Although all its models offer a large, spacious cabin, the German brand has decided to expand it with two roof boxes.

An initiative for all users of its vehicles, but especially for those who need extra room to start their adventures, for example in a Porsche 911, but without giving up the elegance of their sports car.

Roof boxes Porsche: elegance without sacrificing capacity

First of all, the two roof boxes developed by Porsche Design are available through the Tequipment accessories range. However, the design of the roof boxes Porsche is unusual, as they can be opened and closed from either side.

Likewise, each Porsche roof box comes with a range of configurations, depending on the storage space needed. First of all, both are made of lightweight plastic, although they differ in capacity.

The first and smaller one has 320 litres and weighs 18 kg, while the heavier one, weighing 26 kg, can store up to 520 litres.

As for installation, you need to mount the roof boxes on the roof bar system that most modern Porsche models incorporate. It is worth noting that these boxes have been tested on models such as the 911 Carrera, Cayenne and Panamera.

This idea was spurred by a Porsche owner who has been transporting his skis on supercars for over a decade. Now, however, he will be able to do so his way, or by purchasing these new roof boxes for 950 euros.
