Skoda Fabia Black Edition: a sportier look for the Czech city dweller

The Skoda Fabia Black Edition is now available at dealerships, featuring a sportier design and a comprehensive equipment list.

Skoda dealerships are debuting new models this August with the new Skoda Fabia Black Edition. This new variant is launching exclusively in the Spanish market with a more daring look and will be available in both the hatchback and Combi body styles. We must not forget that the Skoda Fabia was refreshed in 2018, with a restyled exterior design and the discontinuation of diesel engines.

In addition to aesthetic improvements, this new trim level includes generous equipment to enhance driving comfort and make life easier for the driver.

In terms of exterior design, the first thing that catches the eye at the front of the Skoda Fabia Black Edition is that both the grille and the mirror housings are painted in gloss black. In addition, the 16-inch alloy wheels designed specifically for this version are also painted in the same shade. All of this is complemented by tinted windows, giving the car a considerably more sporty character.

As part of a sport pack, the exterior design is matched by an interior in the same tone. For this reason, the interior trims feature a “piano black” finish that is very fashionable at the moment. These trims are combined with the steering wheel, sport seats, door panels, and aluminium pedals.

Skoda stays true to its Simply Clever philosophy, integrating practical features for occupants such as the Jumbo Box armrest, which offers generous space for passengers to empty their pockets.

However, Skoda has not allowed sportiness to take precedence over ride comfort. For this reason, it combines active and passive safety features to offer a more comfortable and safer drive at all times.

The Skoda Fabia Black Edition comes standard with features such as fog lights, automatic climate control, and a rear parking camera. As for its lighting system, the city model from the brand within the Volkswagen Group comes with LED daytime running lights, LED rear lights, and an automatic high-beam assist.

Another driver assistance system is Front Assist, which can automatically brake the car if it detects that it is approaching an object in front dangerously fast.

The new Skoda Fabia Black Edition will feature under the bonnet the 1.0 TSI three-cylinder engine producing 95 CV paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. This gives us a new variant in the brand’s complete city car range, joining other attractive options such as the Skoda Fabia Scout. It is now available at dealerships, with a starting price of 10,990 euros including the discounts offered by the brand.
