Skoda Kamiq Scoutline, an adventurous touch for the urban SUV
The entry-level model in the Skoda SUV range receives a new trim and name as the Skoda Kamiq Scoutline
Following the launch and marketing of a compact crossover that joins the Skoda Kodiaq and Karoq, the Skoda Kamiq was intended to be the entry point to the Czech brand’s SUV family.
Therefore, after expanding the equipment options with a sportier and more aggressive Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo, the smallest model, like its bigger siblings, will get a trim under the Scout line as the Skoda Kamiq Scoutline.
The Scoutline equipment of the Skoda Kamiq
The Skoda Kamiq Scoutline models will stand out with an exterior that sets them apart from the base versions, thanks to wheel arches trimmed in matt black that enhance their adventurous, rugged look. Likewise, the 17-inch Praga alloy wheels, standard on this Skoda Kamiq Scoutline, can be swapped for larger 18-inch Crater wheels.
The front bumper diffuser, with a specific underbody protection, is matched by the rear diffuser; all of them feature a finish typical of classic off-road vehicles, a look repeated on the side sills, mirror housings and roof rails.
Other notable elements include the SunSet side and rear windows with chrome frames, and the standard full-LED rear lights that add the finishing touch to this trim.
An interior with more practicality
The cabin of this Skoda Kamiq Scoutline includes distinctive features, among which stand out the ash wood-effect trim as standard or, optionally, a dark brushed design that contrasts with the air vents finished in chrome metallic.
As is fitting, the steering wheel, handbrake lever and gear lever come with a leather finish that matches perfectly with the aluminium pedals now fitted.
Furthermore, the height-adjustable front seats are upholstered in breathable ThermoFlux fabric and Suedia microfibre, which increase comfort during use. As an option, the roof lining can be upholstered in black.
Skoda Kamiq Scoutline, also with ECO label
The range of engines offered for the Skoda Kamiq Scoutline is the same as for the rest of the lineup.
That is, three petrol engines, one diesel, and finally the bi-fuel unit, capable of running on petrol or compressed natural gas, CNG, under the Skoda G-TEC (CNG) designation.
On sale from next summer
For those about to rush out to order a Skoda Kamiq Scoutline, the price of the Skoda Kamiq in this more adventurous version has not yet been disclosed, but the first units will not reach dealers until July 2020.
Before that, Skoda will officially unveil it during the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, to be held between 5 and 15 March this year.
