Octavia Skoda Sedans Hybrid Cars Concepts Geneva Motor Show SUV
Skoda surprises with the VisionS at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 presentation

The Geneva Motor Show 2016 is at its peak and the new models from the various brands are the real stars of these first days. Skoda is one of the brands present and has a novelty that has grabbed the spotlight at the Swiss event. First of all, there is the concept car VisionS, an SUV that shares the MQB platform with the Seat Ateca.
This model revives the design language we already saw in the VisionC, but applied to the world of crossovers, an increasingly popular segment with more and more models. The VisionS measures 4.70 metres in length, 1.91 metres in width and 1.68 metres in height, and its interior has three rows of two seats each.
Its look seems destined for an early move to the production line, so it would come as no surprise if we see it on the road very soon. Its propulsion system is a hybrid setup made up of a 1.4 TSI petrol engine, delivering 156 CV and 250 Nm, plus two electric motors. The first of these is located behind the DSG gearbox and produces 40 kW, adding 250 Nm of torque. The second electric unit is located on the rear axle and delivers 85 kW and a maximum torque of 270 Nm.
Octavia RS 4×4, also in the spotlight at the Geneva Motor Show 2016
Another model that Skoda brought to Geneva was the
Octavia RS 4×4, the top-of-the-range model. It could be seen on the brand’s stand in two versions, the estate and the saloon. The 2.0 TDI engine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds, with a top speed of 226 km/h. In addition, consumption is limited to 4.9 litres per 100 km, and emissions are 127 g/km in the case of the saloon.
Another model seen at the Skoda stand was the
Skoda Octavia G-TEC, a gas-powered version that considerably reduces fuel costs. It combines its 1.4 TSI engine with a DSG gearbox, emits 94 g/km, and produces 110 CV. It is also available in two versions, saloon and estate.
