Skoda will officially unveil the Elroq vRS next week

Six months after the world premiere of the Czech manufacturer’s second electric model, the Elroq, Skoda has revealed the vRS high-performance version of this model. This sporty electric SUV will be officially presented in just a few days, during Milan Design Week, which takes place in the Italian city from 8 to 13 April.

There is no need, however, to wait until then to learn some of the main technical specifications of this model, which we already know and will detail below.

The Elroq vRS will come with two electric motors that, working together, will deliver 250 kW of power, giving the vehicle all-wheel drive. The exceptional performance of this version of the electric SUV from Skoda will also allow it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.

High performance on the road and at the charging point

The vehicle’s propulsion system is completed by an 84 kWh gross battery pack – 79 kWh net -, which will allow it to cover more than 550 km on a single charge under the WLTP homologation cycle. However, the exact figure is not yet known. Furthermore, the Czech manufacturer promises that this model has considerably improved its charging power, reaching 185 kW in this case, which makes it possible to increase the state of charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 26 minutes.

Additionally, when charging with alternating current using a wallbox, the vehicle features an 11 kW onboard charger. As a result, the time needed to complete a charge is estimated at around eight hours, meaning the battery can be fully charged each morning if it is left charging overnight.

Regarding the design of this high-performance vRS version of the Elroq, Skoda has chosen to stand out with black exterior details and exclusive alloy wheels of up to 21 inches. This sporty look fits within the Czech manufacturer’s new “Modern Solid” design language.

A version for every type of customer

The Elroq vRS thus sits at the top of the range as the fifth version available, above the other four versions 50, 60, 85 and 85x. This electric SUV from the Czech manufacturer debuted in Europe at the end of last year with a starting price of 33,900 euros for the entry-level version, which combines a 125 kW rear-mounted motor with a 52 kWh battery pack, delivering a range of up to 374 kilometres.

According to the Czech manufacturer, the Elroq vRS upholds the tradition of the vRS line, offering superior dynamic performance and an attractive design without neglecting practicality and comfort. This is made possible solely by its dynamic chassis control (DCC) system, which balances sportiness and comfort.
