Smart will arrive in Geneva with the Forease+, a prototype that previews an innovative and sportier design language

The various motor shows held year after year are the perfect stage for the most frequent brands to present their latest novelties, a situation in which Smart will find itself in just a few days. On the occasion of the imminent 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the German firm has wanted to prepare something very special to give us a preview of what we will see in the not-too-distant future. It is called Forease+ and arrives as a prototype with a groundbreaking, sporty and attractive design that seeks to break with current conventions and to give the future models of Smart a dose of freshness and modernity.

For now, the brand has revealed little data, but everything suggests we are facing a new vehicle concept both in terms of style and mechanics. This is due to the clear intentions of Smart to electrify its model range, something we already see in today’s vehicles but which will be repeated in the future.

A sportier and more innovative design for the Smart Forease+

As we have mentioned, there are many unknowns surrounding this Smart concept car but, even so, the Teutonic firm has allowed us to glimpse various details of its design. At first sight, we find features never before seen on a vehicle from the brand, which seek to accentuate both sportiness and personality, the latter being one of the characteristics most present in Smart models.

We can see how Smart has respected the characteristic dimensions of the ForTwo, a model that stands out for its eye-catching lines. However, the brand’s designers have managed to endow this latest offspring with a sportier personality, something reflected in the very pronounced drop of the C-pillar, which gives rise to a rear end in pure coupé style.

At the same time, we also notice the presence of an aggressive diffuser in the lower area of the Forease+’s rear, a clear sign that fun will be guaranteed on board this vehicle. For now the front has not been shown in this small preview in the form of a sketch, but it will be next week when Smart unveils this prototype in Geneva first-hand.

New mobility services courtesy of Smart

We must be aware that Smart is not only anticipating the path its future creations will follow with the Forease+, but also a new mobility service that will make our lives easier and revolutionise the market. This is because the brand has been working hard on different services aimed at satisfying its customers, which take the so-called “ready to” as their starting point.

There will be more than eight modalities available, among which we should highlight private carsharing or parcel deliveries directly to the vehicle. At the same time, Smart has devised a user guide that will make it much easier to resort to these new services that promise to improve coexistence with our car.
