Spain: the Volkswagen Crafter arrives in June

In June, the new version of the Volkswagen Crafter will arrive in Spain.

At the end of June, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will already be offering the new Volkswagen Crafter in Spain, with a new engine, new interiors, new colours and trims, and an exterior facelift.

But the most important thing in this type of vehicle is reliability and low maintenance costs. That is why Volkswagen will include the new 2.0-litre TDI engine with common-rail direct injection, which replaces the 2.5-litre TDI fitted until now. The new engines offer better torque and produce outputs of 109, 136 and 163 CV. This latest version will be equipped with the Crafter 4Motion traction system, which distributes power 50:50 between both axles, with a rear differential lock and an optional lock for the front.

Fuel consumption mostly starts in the 7-litre range, which represents an average reduction of 33% compared with the previous engines, while emissions are below 190 g/km of CO2. If the optional BlueMotion version is chosen, fuel consumption drops to 7.2 litres per 100 km and CO2 emissions reach 189 grams for the 163 CV engine.

Another point to consider is the improved load capacity, which has been optimised by up to 10% depending on the engine version chosen, along with the safety features (adaptive ESP, ABS, EDS and driver airbag) that set the previous generations apart.
