Special Test: Jeep Renegade 2.0 MTJ 140 CV 4x4

CIMG0316

As every year the Geneva Motor Show is approaching. This time it will open its doors next Tuesday, and we have decided to take advantage of it to carry out one of our special tests. Since we are still in winter and there are great places near Geneva to test an off-roader, we have chosen the newest member of the Jeep family for a special test.

Specifically, we will be behind the wheel of the Jeep Renegade with the 2.0 Multijet diesel engine producing 140 CV and four-wheel drive 4×4, which we will put to the test on a route around the Alps (both on the Italian and the Swiss side). The idea is to put the Renegade through its paces in adverse conditions and see whether it is a true Jeep.

Since snow is forecast, come what may, we have made sure to bring a good travel companion to help us: good tyres, which are the foundation for moving safely along roads with snow or ice. To that end we have fitted a set of Michelin Alpin 4.

As always, you will be able to follow our entire route on Twitter and Facebook, using the hashtag:

#RutaRenegadeAlpes

Day by day we will share our impressions behind the wheel, route details, curiosities and more. After the show, we will publish, as always, a series of articles detailing our day-to-day on the road and the reaction of our American travel companion.
