SsangYong reveals its innovative intentions with the new Korando

Before implementing the design change, SsangYong has unveiled the new design of the Korando, one of the brand’s most attractive models.

Kg Mobility Korando

We already know that SsangYong is set to disappear shortly. This does not mean the brand will stop selling its models, but that it is ready to change its name. From now on it will be called KG Mobility, and this brings several changes to the models it plans to launch over the coming years.

We have already heard about the Torres EVX, which will be an electric version of the SUV that is meant to be the flagship of this new stage for the brand. But there are also models that were sold under the current brand and that are part of its history. The SsangYong Korando will return to the market under the new brand, with a look that breaks with everything we knew about it until now.

The Korando, still in concept form

The new look of the Korando is still provisional, because it has not left concept mode and remains a prototype that still has a way to go before reaching production. Even so, from what we have seen, it aims to break with what we knew about it.

To begin with, it has been changed to get closer in size and design to the first generation that arrived in Spain. Obviously, the design has been updated to current tastes. It has also been stripped of the off-road features of that first Korando. Although its lines give it the look of an off-roader, it is a car for everyday use and for getting around the city.

For now, it is not known when it will reach the market or what features this new version will have. For the moment, KG Mobility presents the Torres EVX, the new Korando, but also the O100, which will be a pick-up version of the Torres, and another off-roader called F100 that could be a high-capacity electric off-roader.

By the way, the change of brand has not yet been announced in Spain, so dealerships and all services still operate as SsangYong.
