SsangYong has just confirmed new information about the anti-Juke model and the rest of the lineup it has been working on recently. The first thing it has revealed is its final name. The next segment B SUV will take the name of the Italian city of Tivoli. We recall that, until now, this vehicle was identified by the internal code X100.

Secondly, we now know when the European version will be officially presented. The Korean brand has chosen the next Geneva Motor Show to reveal the Tivoli. However, its sales in South Korea will start in January 2015, so there is no need to wait until March to see what it looks like and some of its features. SsangYong also clarifies that its launch in the European market is planned for mid next year.

Three renderings were released with the announcement, previewing the final exterior and interior designs of the Tivoli. The changes compared with the XIV-Air prototype that SsangYong took to the Paris Motor Show last year are minimal, limited to the usual changes expected on a road car, such as the bumpers, the mirrors and the rear lights.

The cabin does not show any significant alterations either, since the XIV-Air barely included unrealistic details for a production model. If the dimensions of the two XIV models presented at the French show are maintained, the Tivoli will measure 4,195 mm in length and its wheelbase will be 2,600 mm. The 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines should also be introduced in the final range.
