Two of the smallest models from Opel, the Corsa and Agila, will receive the start-stop braking system, Start & Stop, which switches off the engine when the vehicle comes to a halt and restarts it simply by pressing the clutch, resulting in lower consumption levels.

However, this option will only be available for a specific engine and within a package called ecoFlex Technology. The engine chosen for the Corsa is the 1.3 CDTi 75 CV, which could achieve a consumption of around 4 litres per 100 kilometres with CO2 emissions that would not exceed the 105 g/km threshold.

In the case of the Agila, the chosen engine is the 1.2 petrol 86 CV, reducing consumption to 5 l/100 km and emissions to 116 g/km. Alongside the start-stop system, this new ecoFlex Technology package adds other devices aimed at reducing the pollution generated by driving, such as the energy recovery system during braking. Finally, it is worth noting that the package will add around 300 euros for the Agila and around 350 euros for the Corsa.
