Start your car from the iPhone

Curiosities of the technology implemented in the world of motoring. Talk through the CD radio of our vehicle via Bluetooth, integrated GPS navigator… Now we can manage our car with the mobile phone.

The alarm brand Viper makes available to its customers an iPhone-compatible module called Viper SmartStart with which, from our Apple mobile phone, we can sound the horn, start the engine or open the boot, among other things.

At first glance the usefulness is above all aesthetic (as, in general, the usefulness of the iPhone) but many people will surely think twice when this module is offered to them. The price is not outrageous; between 200 and 350 € is estimated to be around that figure, but an annual fee of 19 € will have to be maintained in the Viper account.
