Styling and equipment updates for the Mercedes-Benz Class B

Clase B 1

The Mercedes-Benz Class B receives updates to both its styling and its equipment specification. It is a slight update that will be presented at the Paris Motor Show.

Mercedes-Benz thus keeps one of its most important models in the mainstream segments fully up to date, and one that is achieving very respectable sales figures.

The design of the Class B is enhanced by a more modern front end, with new headlights that adopt a design more similar to that of the Class A. The grille is larger and more eye-catching, as is the bumper, which also has a revised shape with more modern air intakes. The Class B can also be fitted with an AMG package that adds sportier, more striking bumpers.

At the rear, the light clusters are updated, as is the bumper, which, like the front, features sharper and sportier lines. The exhaust outlets integrate better with the vehicle’s look.

Inside, slight improvements have been introduced to make life on board easier and more pleasant. An 8-inch screen is introduced, now standard across the whole range, along with a new interior lighting system capable of offering up to 12 ambient light tones. The steering wheel is now very similar to that of the Class C, as is the instrument cluster, which has also been updated in appearance.

As for the engines, the Class B will only be offered with four-cylinder units: four petrol alternatives with outputs ranging from 122 to 211 CV, while those who prefer diesel can choose from four other versions with outputs from 90 to 177 CV. In addition, the German manufacturer will begin offering an electric version with 180 CV and a range of approximately 140 km.
