Subaru XV Executive Plus: the new top-of-the-range version of the Japanese SUV
The Subaru XV Executive Plus replaces its predecessor with more safety equipment and the new 1.6i engine with 114 CV.
The Subaru XV Executive Plus becomes the new top-of-the-range model in its vehicle line-up. The Japanese manufacturer has renewed its successful range of SUVs in our country. This new variant of Subaru offers “the maximum level of safety and comfort equipment” for its occupants. This is thanks to the Eyesight system, the HBA high beam assist, and keyless entry with push-button start and PIN access.
On the other hand, this new version replaces the Subaru XV Executive, which features a sunroof, leather seats and electrically adjustable driver’s seat. The market price is set at 26,400 euros.

Eyesight pre-collision safety system
The new Subaru XV comes as standard with the Eyesight pre-collision safety system. The EURO NCAP safety programme has rated it as the safest vehicle in its segment. In addition, according to the JAPAN NCAP programme it has become the safest car in the history of the Asian country.
This award is due to the fact that it is the only brand that uses “two stereoscopic cameras with CMOS sensors” on both sides of the interior rear-view mirror. This allows the vehicle to monitor the traffic situation and recognise vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists. The aim of this system is to reduce the likelihood of an accident in high-stress situations.

This system is activated once the driver has been warned. After that, Eyesight acts on the powertrain, the gearbox and the braking system. However, this happens only if the drivers “do not apply sufficient braking force”, “do not take evasive action” or “do not apply the brakes at all”, explains Subaru.
This technology includes driving aids such as the pre-collision braking system (up to 50 km/h); adaptive cruise control from 0 to 180 km/h; the pre-collision accelerator control and lane departure and lane exit warning.

1.6-litre engine and automatic gearbox
Another novelty for the Subaru XV Executive Plus is its engine. The new version will come as standard with the 1.6i-litre boxer engine, capable of producing 114 CV of power, paired with the Lineartronic automatic transmission. As for consumption and emissions figures, the Japanese SUV reaches 8 litres per 100 kilometres and emits 180 grams of CO2 per kilometre under the WLTP cycle.
