Suzuki Swift Sport 20th Anniversary: limited edition of 35 units

In May 2023, Suzuki Motor Ibérica celebrates two decades of success, consolidating its presence in Spain, Portugal and Andorra. With more than 160,000 vehicles sold over these twenty years, Suzuki has demonstrated customer acceptance across the Iberian Peninsula. Suzuki offers a wide range of models, from battery electric to plug-in hybrids, such as the Suzuki Across, or its range of motorcycles, with the latest addition, the Suzuki Avenis 125. This broad range of models has reflected both the brand’s values and the reliability of its products.

Exclusive commemorative design

Suzuki Motor Ibérica has created a very special edition of the Suzuki Swift Sport to celebrate this twentieth anniversary. This version will be limited to 35 units available, which include two commemorative plaques with their serial number, located on the dashboard and on the interior door frame of the driver’s door.

This limited edition features a spectacular exterior finish with a two-tone colour in which metallic silver takes centre stage on the bodywork, combined with pearl black roof and numerous red details. A black stripe runs along the entire side and includes the word ‘Sport’, matching the exclusive ’20 Aniversario’ logo on the rear and the tinted rear windows, accentuating the sporty character of this Limited Edition. Various red details have also been included, such as the exterior mirrors, the lower part of the front grille and the brake calipers, which accentuate the sport version of the brand’s iconic model. Even the 17-inch alloy wheels carry the ‘Swift Sport’ emblem in red.

The interior of this limited edition reflects its exclusive sportiness in every detail. Like the exterior, it features a combination of black tones and red details visible in the instrument cluster dials. The sports seats feature the “Sport” logo embroidered with red finishes, the same colour as the interior stitching on the “D”-shaped steering wheel.

Hybrid sportiness

One of the standout features of the Suzuki Swift Sport is its hybrid-focused approach to performance. This model was the first in its segment to introduce 48V mild hybrid technology. Equipped with the SHVS system (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) and the sophisticated K14D 1.4 BOOSTERJET engine, the Swift Sport ’20 Aniversario’ offers a unique combination of environmental responsibility and exceptional sporting character. Thanks to its electrified powertrain, it reduces both consumption and emissions, which now stand at 5.6 l/100 km on the combined cycle and 125 g/km (WLTP).

This model delivers an incredible throttle response and powerful performance. The 1.4 BOOSTERJET engine produces 95 kW (129 CV) at 5,500 rpm and 235 Nm of peak torque at just 2,000 rpm, giving the car a top speed of 210 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 9.1 s. But that’s not all: it also includes an ISG electric motor/generator, which adds 13.6 CV more, with 10 kW and 53 Nm.

Integrated ADAS systems

The model has achieved the consistency it lacked; in addition to offering safe and sporty handling, it features Monroe shock absorbers and thick anti-roll bars with Teflon bushings, providing the rigidity and safety needed to enjoy the drive without compromising dynamics.

In addition to its rigid platform, the Limited Edition includes the most advanced driver-assistance systems. The most useful or notable are automatic emergency braking when pedestrians are detected, lane change alert and the anti-fatigue alert.

It also includes the blind spot detection system ‘Blind Spot Monitor’, the rear cross-traffic alert ‘Rear Cross Traffic Alert‘ and traffic sign recognition ‘Traffic Sign Recognition‘, which give this Limited Edition notable safety and reliability. This Limited Edition will be available only to the first 35 lucky buyers at a modest price of 27,445 euros.
