Model S Model X Tesla Electric Cars
Tesla lands in Spain and you can now order the Model S and X

First came a Supercharger, followed by six more along the Mediterranean corridor, one of the most touristic areas in Spain and where you are most likely to see a Tesla on the road. There was also talk of the Californian company’s arrival in Spain with a factory, something that has not materialised for now, but it is now confirmed that they are coming to Spain, although for the moment only to sell us their cars.
From today you can configure and order your Model S or your Model X on the Spanish-language website the company has set up. The Model 3 can only be reserved with a €1,000 deposit, as has already been the case in other countries. Test drives of the models on sale will also be available, although these will only be offered at certain hotels that the company will select during the first few months.
If we take the prices on Tesla’s Spanish website as a reference, the entry-level version is the Model S 60 with a base price of €80,100 including taxes, while if we opt for the Model X 75D the base price is €103,100. To both you must also add €440 that the company charges for transport to the destination and vehicle documentation.
Beyond these two models, you can also buy the new Powerwall 2 through the website. The Powerwall 2 is a battery with a maximum capacity of 14 kWh, with a DC-DC or DC-AC inverter, thanks to which Tesla states that it can power a home of two average-sized bedrooms for a full day. The price of this battery is €7,100 including taxes and installation.
For now, all of Tesla’s products can only be purchased through its website, but the company has already announced that its first physical stores will be located in Madrid and Barcelona during the coming year. This is the initial plan Tesla has for Spain; they have not said whether there will be more stores or Superchargers soon, although they do confirm that the intention is to continue expanding across our entire territory.
