Model S Model X Tesla Electric Cars
Tesla offers a new paint colour for the Model S and X
The strong public reception of this new paint colour on the Model 3 Highland seems to have encouraged the American manufacturer to offer it on its Premium models as well
Following the recent price cuts, and with the aim of making its Premium models even more attractive, the American manufacturer has just announced the availability of a new paint colour for the Model S and also for the Model X. From now on, customers who wish to do so can choose the “Stealth Grey” paint colour when configuring their new vehicle. It should be noted, however, that this new paint colour replaces the Midnight Silver Metallic, which is no longer available.
Another important point to bear in mind is that Tesla has announced the availability of this new paint colour only for the North American and Asian markets. However, it is not yet available in Europe. Thus, if we enter, for example, the Spanish configurator for the Model X, we will see that the Midnight Silver Metallic colour is still offered as an option, instead of the new Stealth Grey.

The reason why the American manufacturer is not yet offering this new paint colour in the European market is unknown, and it does not seem to make much sense since all units of the Model S and Model X sold globally come from the same factory. The only explanation we can find is that it may be related to the number of units in stock in Metallic Grey destined for the old continent, which may have led the American manufacturer to prefer delaying the availability of the new paint colour here until the existing stock of the colour it replaces has been sold off.
A full Model S or Model X can be yours for less than you might imagine
The Tesla Model S is available in Spain from €94,990, while the price of the Plaid version starts at €109,900. Likewise, in our country it is possible to get a Model X from €101,990, compared with the €116,990 that the Plaid version of this premium electric SUV costs. We should also remember that the five paint colours currently offered by Tesla, for both the Model S and the Model X, are included, and none of them involves a price increase as used to be the case not long ago.
Besides Stealth Grey—or Metallic Grey in Europe—the other four paint colours available for the Model S and Model X are: Pearl White Multi-Coat, Solid Black, Dark Blue Metallic and Ultra Red.

The new Stealth Grey paint colour is one of the novelties brought by the updated Model 3 Highland, which is currently produced at the Shanghai Gigafactory. In Europe this paint colour is available when configuring a new unit of this model.
