Model S Tesla Sedans Electric Cars Technology
Tesla shows us in a video how its Autopilot system works
The Tesla Model S is one of the most advanced models, and not only because it is an electrically powered car, but because it is equipped with a series of driver assistance systems that allow it to operate semi-autonomously and with great versatility

If there is one brand that has been the locomotive of technology and development in the automotive industry, it is Tesla. Thanks to what this brand has contributed, other manufacturers have been encouraged to innovate and have taken great strides in technology and advances that take us one step further. The Tesla Model S is not only one of the high-end electrically powered vehicles, but it also has a series of driver assistance systems that allow the car to operate almost autonomously.
This is the Autopilot, which allows users of this car to drive without needing to be fully attentive to the steering wheel. Among those systems is Summon, which allows the car to leave the garage upon a command given through a smartphone app. In this way, when the car is asked to come out, the system is activated that opens the door and makes the car exit automatically. It also serves, logically, to make it return to its spot autonomously.
Once on the road, Autopilot is activated through a double tap on the side stalk. From then on, it determines the car’s position within the lane and begins to receive traffic information, so it can perform acceleration and braking maneuvers automatically, in order to keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
If you want to change lanes, you only need to indicate it with the stalk beside the steering wheel, and the car performs the maneuver without the driver needing to operate the steering. The car will not carry out the maneuver on its own; it needs to be told that you want to do it. Once this is done, it takes care of doing it safely.
Another feature, which we already know and which is more common, is autonomous parking. In any case, it is always good to see how it works in the case of the Tesla Model S. What do you think of these advances in the car? Would you trust them to move safely, leaving the driving to your car?
