The 5 keys to the new Mitsubishi Space Star
We tell you the five keys to the new Mitsubishi Space Star. Its renewed Japanese design is joined by an equipment upgrade and a very low price.
A month ago, Mitsubishi presented the facelift of its city car, the Space Star. Now, with all the details in view and new images for the gallery, we tell you the 5 keys to getting to know this updated model in depth. Design, equipment, engine, warranty and price.
- New design: one of the exterior novelties of the Space Star is that it incorporates the “Dynamic Shield”, just like the rest of the brand’s range. Its rear now features a wider bumper, and the optics are new and will now be LED. Aerodynamics have been improved with a roof spoiler that reduces the Cx to the best in its segment at 0.27. Two colours have also been added: Diamond White and Sand Bronze.unseen
- Standard equipment: from the most basic trim, the Motion, the Space Star comes with features such as rain and light sensors, six airbags or an emergency braking warning system. The top-of-the-range Kaiteki will have 15-inch alloy wheels, Grand Lux upholstery and indicators integrated into the mirrors.

- Three-cylinder petrol engine: under the bonnet of this Japanese city car sits a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine with 80 CV of power and 106 Nm of maximum torque. Its 860 kg means the homologated consumption figures are even lower, and the WLTP combined cycle is 5 litres. As for emissions, the average cycle is 113 g/km of CO2.
- Warranty: Mitsubishi proudly offers its “5-year Commitment” on this model. This means 5 years of full vehicle warranty and 5 years of roadside assistance. The Japanese brand thus offers one of the best and broadest warranties on the market.
- Price: the renewed model in the B-segment starts from €11,850 in the Kaiteki trim, the highest in the range. But if we opt for a Mitsubishi Space Star in the entry-level trim, the Motion, the starting price is only €10,650.
