Rodius SsangYong Family Range / versions
The all-new SsangYong Rodius is now on sale

The new SsangYong Rodius has arrived in our country, after several months in which we had little information about the new vehicle, apart from the brand’s presentations in Geneva and some sketches that had been released. The truth is that this new version is a fresh facelift of the previous generation, which had been on the market since 2008.
While other markets will offer two engines, a diesel and a 3.2-litre petrol, Spain will receive only the version fitted with the e-XDi200 diesel engine, already found in the Rexton W and Actyon Sports. The diesel available in the Spanish market will be a 2-litre unit producing 155 hp, while the gearbox will be a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. The arrival of electronically engaged all-wheel drive is also announced.

The bodywork shows clear influences from the latest Actyon Sports, moving away somewhat from rounded shapes in favour of more straight-edged and modern lines. The rear lights have been replaced with less wraparound and more discreet units, while at the front the changes are more profound, with new, more angular headlights and a bumper with a generous air intake, with fog lights housed separately.
The new Rodius can be chosen in three trim levels: the base version carries no designation, while the Premium is the intermediate and the Limited the most complete. Standard equipment includes front airbags for driver and passenger, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, traction control, stability control, an active rollover protection system, dual-zone air conditioning, trip computer, electric windows at four positions, electrically adjustable and foldable mirrors, CD radio with MP3, Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones and a USB port with iPod connection.
On the Premium the air conditioning is replaced by automatic climate control with independent regulation, parking sensors with rear-view camera, among other features, while the Limited offers leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, an electric sunroof, automatic headlight activation and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Prices are as follows:
- Rodius e-XDi200 “base” from €25,280.
- Rodius e-XDi200 Premium from €28,400.
- Rodius e-XDi200 AT Premium from €30,900.
- Rodius e-XDi200 Limited from €30,400.
- Rodius e-XDi200 AT Limited from €32,900.
- Rodius e-XDi200 AT AWD Limited from €35,900.
The brand’s discounts on the Rodius make it an option well worth considering, as the Plan FIDELIZACIÓN can be included, with an additional €2,000 discount. Buyers can also save on registration tax if the vehicle is acquired as a mixed-use vehicle, and a further discount is available for large families, not counting the PIVE Plan.
