The Aston Martin DB10 from James Bond SPECTRE, auctioned for $3.5 million
One of the cars built for the latest James Bond film, SPECTRE, which is also a model created exclusively for its production, has been put up for sale at a Christie’s auction and has reached the price of $3.5 million

When we saw SPECTRE, the new James Bond film, we witnessed not only what we are told will be Daniel Craig‘s last film as the secret agent 007, but also the arrival of a supercar created specifically for this film, one that revived the spirit of the great British cars the agent has brought to Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The Aston Martin DB10 was the car used to give that elegant, unique and exclusive touch that every film in the saga has, and it gave Bond all its power to chase the bad guys.
Each of the ten units that were built was handcrafted at the brand’s headquarters in Gaydon by its most highly specialised employees. The aim was to leave the brand’s mark on the film and, without a doubt, they succeeded. Eight of the ten units were used, and the other two vehicles were kept for promotional purposes and for display at various events. And of those two, only this one was put up for sale.
So the lucky buyer has obtained the only Aston Martin DB10 that will ever exist for private use, and will be able to enjoy it to the full. The price he paid for this one-of-a-kind car in the world was $3.5 million, which will be entirely devoted to the projects that the NGO Médecins Sans Frontières has under way around the world.

According to the chief executive of Aston Martin, this is a unique car, because only 10 units were built and no more are planned. Furthermore, no more units will be put up for sale, since those used in the film will remain the property of the studio. Also, by allocating the proceeds of the sale to Médecins Sans Frontières, this car fulfils what is expected of a vehicle that has taken part in the entertainment industry: making us dream on the big screen and then helping less fortunate people.
