The Audi A4 e-tron arrives, and a sporty S4 version with more than 510 CV is announced
In 2025 the electric version of the Audi A4 will arrive, an e-tron variant that will have a lot in common with the Audi Q6, and will be followed by a more powerful version.

We already have a date for the arrival of the Audi A4 e-tron, so we will only have to wait until 2025 to enjoy this model behind the wheel. It will not arrive alone, as it will do so together with a version with a combustion engine. However, that model, although very similar to this one, will be called Audi A5, since the German brand reserves even-numbered names for its electric models.
This new model will be built on the PPE platform, which is also used in the Audi A6 and Audi Q6 e-tron. This platform is being developed in collaboration with Porsche, which will help the company’s electric vehicles have larger and more satisfying proportions for the brand’s customers.

This architecture enables 800-volt technology, which will allow battery charging at a power of 270 kW, twice what the current MEB platform offers. An advantage that will improve charging time and give it a clear edge over models that use the MEB platform.
As for the battery, this new version will use the same one as its bigger sibling. It is a 100 kWh battery pack, which will give it a range of just over 640 kilometres. This battery will be nickel-manganese-cobalt, which allows a higher energy density in a much smaller size.
This new electric version of the A4 e-tron will arrive with several powertrain options. A version with a single motor on the rear axle is expected, along with another with two motors and all-wheel drive.
The standard version of the Audi A4 e-tron will not only be accompanied by a combustion-engine version. A high-performance electric version is also planned, the Audi S4 e-tron, Audi S4 e-tron. This will offer a power output reaching 510 CV and will be the top of this model’s range. We do not have images of this new model yet, but you can see what the A4 offers inside and out in the Audi Q6, which will possibly be reflected in this model.
