The Audi Q4 e-tron is already a reality, but which rivals does it face?
The Audi Q4 e-tron is the latest electric addition from the brand, but it is not the only compact SUV with this powertrain, and here are its rivals.
Audi continues forward with its electric offensive through the e-tron family, which is expanding at an ever-faster pace. First came the Audi e-tron, which paved the way for the Audi e-tron GT, and now it is the turn of the Audi Q4 e-tron, a 100% electric SUV that aims to be the benchmark in its segment. However, this category that the new Q4 belongs to is becoming less and less exclusive, as clearly shown by the number of representatives it has.
With this in mind, it is easy to come across a series of rivals on the market ready to make things difficult for the new SUV with the four rings. Many of them belong to the same group, but each one has a series of features that set it apart.
Volkswagen ID.4
The German brand launched the ID. family not long ago with the Volkswagen ID.3, a model that set a path that has enabled the arrival of the ID.4. The electric SUV from Volkswagen has a lot in common with the new Audi Q4 e-tron, which makes it a direct rival despite the two being considered close cousins.

Although the design and the cabin differ considerably in both cases, we find an almost identical mechanical layout.
Skoda Enyaq iV
Skoda began playing its electric mobility cards with the iV suffix, the letters used for every electric and plug-in hybrid model from the Czech brand. With this premise, the Skoda Enyaq falls directly into this group, a model that establishes itself as the first of many to use this kind of powertrain.

In this way, the Enyaq also becomes a tough rival to the new Audi Q4 e-tron, perhaps positioning itself as one of the most sensible options within the Volkswagen Group.
Mercedes-Benz EQA
Mercedes-Benz also continues its electric offensive through the EQ vehicles. The most recent to use this name has been the Mercedes-Benz EQA, a compact SUV that borrows many elements from the GLA to become an alternative to the Q4 e-tron.

Both models, in terms of powertrain and price alike, become strong rivals ready to fuel a battle that more and more contenders are joining.
Tesla Model Y

For many years, Tesla was practically alone in the electric car sector, but the massive arrival of new players has led the American brand to expand its lineup. A clear example is the Tesla Model Y, a compact SUV that takes advantage of the brand’s long track record to try to take the lead in this demanding segment.
