The Bentley Bentayga S shows its most sinister side with the Black Edition
The Bentley Bentayga S, with its two powerful V8 and V6 engines, the latter a hybrid, shows its sportiest side with the new Black Edition

The Bentayga is the golden goose for Bentley, and the English brand never stops promoting its SUV as much as it can through special, limited or one-off editions, so that sales keep rolling in like hotcakes. In this case the star is the Bentayga S, a version that brings out its darkest and most sinister side thanks to the new Black Edition, which further accentuates the sporty character of this model.
The Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition can be chosen in the bodywork colours Mandarin, Signal Yellow, Klein Blue, Pillar Box Red, Ice, Hyper Green and Beluga, all carefully selected for this edition. Fitted as standard with the Styling Specification body kit, it is enhanced by a discreet detail line running along the front and rear bumpers as well as the rear spoiler; while in the S Black Edition version all exterior bright elements are replaced by a gloss black finish, making it the first model in 105 years of Bentley history to carry black wings on the logo and black lettering.

All of this is combined with the small, subtle changes the brand introduced earlier this year to the Bentayga, such as a redesigned front grille, new chassis technology, a new electrical architecture and the introduction of four-wheel steering on the BEW version, as well as 21-inch wheels, which on the S Black Edition are replaced by 22-inch wheels painted black behind which hide brake calipers painted to match.

Inside the Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition, changes are also made in the same spirit. A contrast has been created between the Beluga leather and bright colours applied to areas such as the stitching and selected sections of the upholstery, to which the black embroidered “S” emblem on each seat is added. Additionally, a new carbon fibre weave has been applied to the dashboard, centre console and hip-area mouldings, adding depth and creating a three-dimensional effect. The Dark Chrome pack is also fitted as standard, replacing the original bright chrome on the air vents, central ventilation grilles and organ-type controls with gloss black.

If we opt for a Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition, we can choose between two engines. On one hand, there is the twin-turbo V8 petrol engine of 4,000 cc, producing 550 CV and 770 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 290 km/h. On the other hand, there is also the S Hybrid Black Edition, which combines a 3,000 cc V6 TFSI petrol engine with a 100 kW electric motor to deliver 462 CV, with which it reaches 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 254 km/h.
