The best of Retromóvil Madrid 2021: and all the photos!
This weekend saw the 18th edition of the iconic classic vehicle show, where we were on hand to bring you the best of the event.

Retromóvil is without a doubt one of the most anticipated events of the year for motoring enthusiasts and, in particular, for lovers of classic cars. A place to enjoy automotive gems in impeccable condition, to see classic cars for sale in person, to buy spare parts, or to pick up miniatures to add to our collection.
After a year of forced inactivity due to the pandemic, this weekend saw Madrid host the eighteenth edition of the International Show of Vintage, Classic and Collector Vehicles at IFEMA, better known as Retromóvil, where we saw legendary models such as the Porsche 911, the Jaguar E-Type, the Ferrari 330 GTC from 1967, or a Mercedes 280 SL, among many others.

If you missed the show, don’t worry: at Highmotor we bring you a selection of photographs to enjoy, so you won’t feel too bad about not having been able to attend.
Enjoy!
As you entered Pavilion 10 of IFEMA, you came across the Catawiki stand, the online auction platform for collector vehicles, where the aforementioned Ferrari 330 GTC was on sale, along with a Alfa Romeo 156 GTA, a BMW 850, a Jaguar XJS, an Austin Mini, and even a legendary Honda NSR of Rothmans that won our hearts.

Right next to it, you found several examples of the sublime Jaguar E-Type. A model that, to mark its 60th anniversary, was celebrating, as were Moto Guzzi and Amilcar, which were marking their centenary.
Further into the center of the show were the participants in the Concours d’Elegance, featuring great exhibits such as a yellow Ferrari Daytona, a Aston Martin DB4, a Jaguar Panther, an unrivalled 911 Turbo, and a Jensen Interceptor. A place surrounded by beauty where you didn’t know where to look.
A day of anniversaries
On top of all this, SEAT had a huge display marking the 25th anniversary of the SEAT 1430, 124 and 124 Sport Club, taking the opportunity to create a large caravan of its popular models.
Another of our favourites was the Alfa Romeo GTV6 on display alongside its grandson, the Alfa Romeo 4C. Two completely different concepts, yet sharing the same DNA and the same philosophy: putting a grin from ear to ear on their occupants’ faces every time the throttle is pressed.

In the vehicles-for-sale area there was a wide variety of cars, from a Mercedes-Benz L319D van to a Renault 5 GT Turbo, a Land Rover Defender, a Ford Mustang, a Porsche 928, or a Audi TT.
A great tribute
Setting classic cars aside, Retromóvil Madrid also hosted a moving tribute to the great Adrián Campos, with a ceremony in which friends and family shared amusing anecdotes about one of Spain’s great motor racing drivers, who sadly passed away at the beginning of the year.
