BMW Serie 7 Sedans Hybrid Cars
The BMW Concept Series 7 Protection offers protection but also something more important: discretion
This concept model has armour capable of protecting its occupants from bullet impacts and all of that, without compromising comfort and driving.

BMW cares deeply about the safety of drivers and occupants of its vehicles. So it not only offers very effective safety features, with modern and up-to-date driver assistance systems. But they go further and offer protection against bullets, with several armoured versions for people who need this kind of features. The problem is that these armoured vehicles are very visible and stand out too much.
Their armour can stop bullets, but also grenade explosions and the like. But now, the German brand has presented a 7 Series model that is very similar to the standard models and is practically identical to them. This is the BMW Concept 7 Protection, a model in the range that is designed to withstand the impact of bullets and protect its occupants from unexpected attacks.

Besides keeping the appearance of the conventional model, this armoured vehicle has the same driving characteristics as the other one. A great advantage and a way of making it more pleasant to drive so that it doesn’t feel like a tank on the street. This version can stop pistol bullets, such as the .44 Magnum or 9 mm ammunition. That said, against more powerful assault rifle fire, it offers no protection. For that, one must opt for the better-protected version of the BMW 7 Series Protection.
The windows are made of bulletproof materials and the doors have been reinforced with a combination of ballistic steel and composite materials with fibre. The panoramic glass roof uses the same materials. The dividing partition also offers ballistic protection.
The full equipment of the range has been complemented with an intercom and an alarm system. The interior is upholstered in Merino Blanco Humo leather from the BMW Individual range. The roof is covered in Alcantara Antracita from BMW M and there are decorative elements in Alcantara. The sunblinds have electronic operation and the rear-view mirror is digital. A rear console with a folding table and a portable fridge has been added . These two elements will be added to the 7 Series range in mid-2027.
As for the engine, this model uses the same one as the M760e xDrive, that is, a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, combined with an electric motor. Together they deliver 603 CV and 800 Nm of torque. With this concept car, BMW aims to reach an audience that wants more protection but does not need higher levels of armouring. It is expected to enter production shortly and could be available to order soon.
