Cadillac has unveiled the CTS Coupe 2011, the latest and most spectacular of the brand’s new design series to reach production. The CTS Coupe is a new luxury sports coupé designed to become the heart of the brand’s global resurgence, and it was presented in Los Angeles.

Stylistically, the Coupe is a classic 2+2 enhanced with plenty of advanced technology, such as a rear-view camera system and a performance-oriented suspension system, paired with either the rear-wheel-drive or the all-wheel-drive version. Although it derives from its sport sedan sibling, the CTS Coupe only shares the instrument panel, the console, the headlamps, the front bumper and the grille.

The 3.6L V-6 engine producing 304 CV (227 kW) with Direct Injection will come as standard, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox featuring a revised clutch and a dual-mass flywheel that offers a better feel at the clutch pedal and greater engine isolation. A six-speed automatic gearbox with Driver Shift Control is available as an option (with a steering wheel featuring integrated shift buttons also available).

The Coupe joins the CTS Sport Sedan, the 556 CV (415 kW) CTS-V and the new CTS Sport Wagon as the foundation of Cadillac’s range renewal. A high-performance V-Series edition of the Coupe will also be presented in 2010.
