The Citroën C3 Aircross among the finalists for Car of the Year 2018

The success of the new Citroën C3 Airscross is undeniable since, as we reported not long ago, more than 20,000 orders have already been placed for this small SUV. But this leads us to believe that it’s not only the public who has fallen in love with the new C3 Aircross, but also a very special jury. The new Citroën SUV is among the seven finalists for Car of the Year 2018.

The jury for this competition is made up of more than sixty journalists from 23 different countries. To select the finalists, several criteria are taken into account when choosing among the participating vehicles and, above all, the winner. The jury looks for the perfect harmony between design, comfort, safety and technology and the C3 Aircross promises a great deal in all these respects.

Let’s remember that the new compact SUV from the French brand has a more youthful and daring style than the conventional C3. This gives it many positive points, both for winning over the public and the competition jury. At the same time, its versatility greatly helps the final decision to favour this small SUV.

The C3 Aircross can handle the city and the open road without any problem and, at the same time, tackle somewhat more unusual terrain. It achieves this thanks to its ground clearance, which allows it to get through trickier situations. Moreover, safety is essential to complete the very well-balanced package of the new SUV.

We should remember that the new Aircross achieved five stars in Euro NCAP, making it one of the safest vehicles in its segment, with very high percentages in all the tests. But this is not only thanks to its bodywork and design, but also to the technology built into the C3 SUV. This can be seen in its entire infotainment system and in the driver assistance features it incorporates.

The winner of this very special competition will not be announced until 5 March.
