The Citroën DS3 R3 will also be on the streets

I admit I’m not a big fan of Citroën, it has never caught my attention as a brand, but I think this time they have hit the nail on the head. Only days ago the first images of the DS3 R3 built for the World Rally Championship were shown, but luckily, it seems that in the future we would see it further away from the tracks and closer to being able to go to any Citroën dealership to buy one.
Citroën is considering the possibility that the DS3 R3 will also be the basis for a road model, which would be presented next year. Initially, it would produce almost 200 horsepower, with an acceleration forecast at seven seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.
The images correspond to the rally prototype, but it could perfectly well become a reality. Still, it is not far-fetched to imagine a DS3 R3 and a Renault Clío side by side at a traffic light. Because precisely, this DS3 R3 is surely a bomb aimed at the Renault Clío Sport and company…
Perhaps from now on, if the DS3 goes on sale to the public, the brand will gain another unconditional follower of the French marque (the writer), with a more modern take on the classic European hot hatch and aimed at those with a rather restless right foot.
Don’t you think there has been enough of hybrids and electrics? If your answer is yes, the DS3 will be more than welcome.
