The Corvette Z06 reaches 1,000 hp. Are you up for trying it?
The possibilities of the Corvette Z06 have skyrocketed thanks to the addition of a ProCharger supercharger, which has allowed the engine of this supercar to reach 1,000 hp, although they are capable of achieving 1,600 hp with each of these units.
A supercar is an impressive car in itself, although those who are not content with having a car of these characteristics want to make it even more striking. Here we have the Corvette Z06, a model that is simply spectacular, but which has been boosted and enhanced to 1,000 hp thanks to ProCharger.
And with this, it seems it falls short, since the central unit of ProCharger can offer up to 1,600 hp, although for the moment they consider that staying at this figure is quite good. Their initial aim was to test the Corvette Z06 with the maximum power it was capable of delivering. But they finally decided to change the fan it came with as standard for their own, without touching any of the specifications. What they obtained was an increase of 115 hp.
With these figures, without having touched the factory specifications and with the simple change of the compression unit, the car has gone from being an exceptional machine to a unique and impressive one. Even so, the unit could still deliver even more thrust, as we have mentioned, although it is not at all practical to approach that figure of 1,600 hp. Who could control such power?

Currently, these superchargers are being built with aluminium used in aircraft manufacturing, which is more resistant and has a higher capacity to withstand this type of power. Each of these units F-2 operates independently and has its own independent oil lubrication system. Ultimately, it is about getting the maximum performance out of the engine’s thrust capacity in this model, unleashing the beast hidden inside it.
This system is reversible, that is, it can be easily removed to return the Corvette Z06 to its original configuration, but just as we cannot figure out why anyone would want such power, it seems incredible that someone would want to go back to the 650 hp that the engine of this supercar offers.
